If you have taken our previous advice and opened yourself a Yahoo profile, a good way of attracting visitors to your website can be done sharing your in-depth knowledge of the products and services you sell. This can be done in numerous ways and Yahoo Answers is a brilliant example of this.

It’s a very active site where users can start posts that ask questions on a variety of topics, including career, family relationships, DIY, technology, computer advice and such like, and the other Yahoo users will often provide a variety of answers.


We originally stumbled on this site by accident when late one night when we couldn’t find the answer to a technical question and after spending an hour or so unsuccessfully rooting through search results looking for the information needed, we simply typed the question in and within seconds, Google yielded a Yahoo Answers post for us, which had exactly the right information we were looking for.


As a reader of Yahoo Answers, the service is very useful, and as a contributor, lets you to provide both beneficial information and links back to your own business site. All you have to do to begin to take part is look for posts in the category most related to your company, and scan down the questions to see if there’s any that you can answer. As always, remember that you’re representing your business online so ensure that your information is factual, informative, provides links with purpose (not ‘spammy’ links which aren’t related to the post) and contains no spelling or grammatical mistakes.
